Prospective MHS Swimmers & Parents,

MHS Swim Team Tryouts will be held on Thursday, October 12th at 8PM at Swim Atlanta Roswell (795 Old Roswell Road)! There are a few items we wanted to bring to your attention beforehand:

We WILL NOT be collecting payments until tryouts are complete and we have an official roster. If you are a non-year round swimmer, please refrain from registering with Swim Atlanta Roswell until tryouts are held October 12th.

If you hear of any students wanting to join this year's swim team, please encourage them to register on Swimtopia before this Friday, October 6th. Registration will remain open until Wednesday, October 11th.

Please respond to Jen Mikels email regarding confirmation of uniforms sizes if you have not already.

Now with housekeeping out of the way,

To introduce myself, I am a native of Milton, GA, graduating from Milton High School in 2015. I started swimming at 9 years old, when my sister and I joined the City of Alpharetta Sharks summer swim team. I swam with the Sharks until I was 18 years old and was a member of the MHS Swim & Dive team from 2011 to 2014, most often swimming the 100 Back Stroke and 200 Free. I also coached with the Sharks for my last two summers while lifeguarding at the Alpharetta City Pool. I went to University of Georgia for undergrad and got my Masters in School Counseling at Vanderbilt University, all while keeping up with swimming recreationally! I moved back to the Atlanta area during the summer of 2021 and started my position as a High School Counselor with Milton that August. Since then I've enjoyed being back in the Milton Community and can't wait to start my first season as the Head Coach for Milton Swim & Dive!

In addition, the awesome Nelson Camacho from Swim Atlanta Roswell will be continuing on our coaching staff as the MHS Swim Team Community Coach. He will coach all of the non-year round swimmers at their practices and help me with meet entries.
